Grease The Arena Spectacular

When Craig stepped onto the stage under the Grecian skies for The Arena Spectacular, it wasn’t just another performance — it was a breathtaking celebration of music, theatre, and myth, reimagined in true arena style.

“…an overwhelming success, playing more than 68 stadium shows and being hailed by critics as an outstanding musical event”

Rama-lama-lama-ka-ding-itty-ding-de-dong….. or something like that.

Thank you Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey for giving us Grease! Not as in the thick mechanical moving part lubricant and protective moisture barrier….

I’m talking about the musical.

Of course my dear friend Jim Jacobs would say, ‘Hey man, it wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t lived it as a teenager in the 50’s!’ Yep, Jim really was a greaser! He knew the Danny’s and the Kenickies….he knew the Rizzo’s and the Sandy’s. And for me to be cast as Danny Zuko in Robert Stigwood’s record breaking London revival of the show in 1993…and to get the tick of approval from Jim was just….shoo-bop-sha-waddy-waddy-yippity-boom-da-boom!!! In other words AMAZING!

And isn’t it wonderful, a real ‘be-wop-bam-boom blessing’, that my original Sandy, Deb Gibson, Americas OG pop singing, songwriting sweetheart, is still ever present in my life. AND…we had a top 10 UK hit with our version of ‘You’re The One That I Want’.

Oh…I greased my hair back & got my ‘Zuko’ on again for Grease the Arena Spectacular in 1998 and again in 2005. I got chills….. just thinkin’ about it!
