Celebrating 45 Years of S’Cool The Musical and Its Lasting Legacy
Beautiful people, let me take you back to 1980…
A show was born called ‘S’Cool’ – created by two visionary high-school teachers, featuring a student cast backed by a smokin’ hot band of students and seasoned professionals. And it was definitely cool.
The story examined teenage life, peer pressure, and identity in a way that was genuinely ahead of its time. The proof? Here we are in 2025, almost 2026, and S’Cool is STILL being produced on both sides of the equator!
I was cast in the central dual roles of Nick & Nigel in that original production, but honestly? I just wanted to play guitar in the band! But Mr Patterson & Mr Pascal had other ideas!
So to celebrate 45 YEARS of S’Cool, I’ve jumped on a bunch of instruments and recorded a version of one of my favourite songs from the show – ‘Handball Heroes’.
To Dennis Patterson & Mark Pascal, to the students and teaching staff of what was The Entrance High School, and to all the local folk who came along all those years ago – THANK YOU!
This is where it all began.
Lotsa love,
Craig x
