Craig is a Gold Logie, three-time Silver Logie and Helpmann Award winner and has several Australian and UK hit singles to his name along with some very shiny silver, gold and platinum records.
Craig grew up on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. He left school at 16 and worked as a plumber’s assistant. Following his successful break into acting he moved to Melbourne. Since then, he has lived in London, Melbourne, Los Angeles and currently resides in Sydney.
He is very close to his family and lifelong friends and is the proud father to his son. A lifelong lover of the ocean, he surfs every day and he’s a man who loves to cook up a delicious feast in the kitchen. And of course, a guitar is never far away!
Craig’s long-term partner is world renowned conductor and musical director Vanessa Scammell.
Craig is a huge believer in the charity Beyond Blue which provides information and support to help everyone in Australia achieve their best possible mental health, whatever their age and wherever they live.
The past three and a half years have impacted hugely on Craig’s mental health. Dealing with the well-publicised accusations and charges of indecent assault, the subsequent trial and finally the innocent verdict played havoc with his mental wellbeing. It also took it’s toll on those loved ones who supported him every step of the way.
Based on his experience, Craig encourages anyone who feels the need of support for their mental wellbeing to contact Beyond Blue. They are there to help. Click on the button below to connect with them.
